A young child and three adults are in hospital after a shooting in north west London last night.

Scotland Yard said police were called to ‘shots fired’ in Energen Close in Harlesden at 9.45pm on Wednesday alongside the London Ambulance Service.

All four victims were found with gunshot injuries and an investigation has been launched, police said.

Police said three of those injured are adults, while one is a ‘young child’.

Their conditions are currently not known.

No arrests have been made and police said enquiries are continuing.

A Section 60 order, which provides police stop and search powers, was put in place for the borough of Brent but ceased at 7am on Thursday.

Police said a dispersal zone and additional patrols were in place overnight.
